https://www.coingecko.com/research/publications/crypto-community-media-usage?utm_campaign=Data%20Visualization&utm_source=x&utm_medium=social

OpenAI - "Summarise article in 5 points"

Here are five key points from the CoinGecko report on crypto community media usage:

1. Preferred Platforms: X (formerly Twitter), Telegram, and YouTube are the top platforms where the crypto community spends most of their time, reflecting their importance in crypto discussions and news dissemination.

2. Content Consumption: News and updates are the primary types of content consumed on these platforms, with a significant focus on real-time discussions and the latest market developments.

3. User Engagement: The report highlights that the community is highly engaged on these platforms, actively participating in discussions, sharing insights, and keeping up with the fast-paced crypto world.

4. Growth of New Platforms: While X, Telegram, and YouTube dominate, newer platforms like TikTok and Discord are also gaining traction, particularly among younger demographics.

5. Community Trends: The community tends to follow influencers and major crypto news accounts, with many users relying on these sources for decision-making and staying informed about market trends.

My Thoughts

  • Interesting data from CoinGecko.
  • So far, I've been spending more time on Telegram and YouTube for crypto.
  • Perhaps I should socialise more on X and in turn get more platform referrals. Need to learn how to create interesting tweets though 😎
